RADIATION PORTALS
The RPM 0.3 radiation portal is a
device designed to detect radioactive materials in vehicles and train wagons
transporting various goods – for example, recyclable metal materials or
municipal waste.
Key Features:
-
Gamma radiation detection: The system uses two high-sensitivity
scintillation detectors that can detect gamma radiation within the energy range
of 50 keV to 2 MeV.
- Automatic alarm: If radiation levels
exceed the set thresholds, the portal automatically triggers an audible and visual
alarm to warn the operating personnel.
- User-friendly interface: The
equipment includes a 17” touchscreen that displays real-time information about
radiation levels and allows operators to quickly access essential functions.
- Robust construction: The detectors
and system components are mounted in IP65-rated metal enclosures, resistant to
outdoor working conditions.
Operation:
When a vehicle or train enters the portal, the
system automatically starts scanning. If radiation levels exceed the set
limits, the portal emits an alert and records the event in a detailed report.
Additionally, all alarms and measurements are automatically archived, allowing
for later verification or printing.
This system is automated, there is no need for
manual operator. The RPM 0.3 radiation portal offers a safe and efficient
solution for monitoring shipments ensuring compliance with safety standards and
protection against exposure to ionizing radiation.
