RADIATION PORTALS
Main features:
-
Gamma radiation detection: The system uses two (2) high-sensitivity scintillation detectors capable of detecting gamma radiation within the energy range of 50 keV to 2 MeV.
-
Automatic alarm: If radiation levels exceed the preset thresholds, the portal automatically triggers both an audible and visual alarm to alert operating personnel.
-
User-friendly interface: The equipment includes a 17” touchscreen display that shows real-time information about radiation levels and allows operators to quickly access essential functions.
-
Robust construction: The detectors and system components are mounted in IP65-rated metal enclosures, resistant to outdoor working conditions.
Operation:
When a vehicle or train enters the portal, the system automatically initiates scanning. If radiation levels above the preset limits are detected, the portal issues an alert and records the event in a detailed report. In addition, all alarms and measurements are automatically archived so they can be reviewed later or printed.
This equipment is automated and does not require operation by dedicated personnel. The RPM 0.3 radiation portal model provides a safe and efficient solution for transport monitoring, ensuring compliance with safety standards and protection against exposure to ionizing radiation.
